Aluminum Frame For Prototype AeroTrailer

As of: 3 Aug. 2011

Below: This started out to be a custom car hauler for a 72 Pantera. The customer ordered the project stopped when the financial melt-down hit at the end of 08. The unfinished project was then put into storage by the builder. The financial melt-down lasted - and the builder went out of business. So was selling off assets.

The outer frame aluminum "I" beam is 3.5" wide by 5.5" tall, of 0.118" thick.
The cross members are 2.75" wide by 4.5" tall and 0.118" thick.

Below:
The aluminum diamond plate seems to be about 1/8" thick. It has torsion flex axles with hydraulic disc brakes. 15" radial tires. The total length is 22' tip of tongue to tail. The Diamond Plate area is 14', the next segment in the front is 4'.

Below: The entire assembly is bolted together. Which makes it almost ideal for my use as a prototype - upon which I plan to design and build a low profile, aerodynamic custom car hauler for smaller Sports/GT's.
