NOTE A: - Adjust Your Browser Window To The Width Of The Images, For Best Viewing
NOTE B: - Definition a) "Finisher"- the plastic trim pieces that give the interior a finished look. The windshield has 3, 1 on top and 2 on the "A" pillars.

Below: First Step is to lift the top out of the way. Note the position of the rubber seal on top of the Windshield Finisher. Make sure it is back on top when you reassemble later.

Below:Remove the 4 screws that hold the Sun Visors on. {2 on each side}

Below: Slide the windshield finisher rearward - it will come out from under that rubber seal. You will also have to pull the ends of the top finisher off the "A" pillar finishers at the same time. Note Pictures below - you have to lift that top finisher up to make sure the retaining clips are lifted clear of the "A" pillar finisher. Then this part will slide right back, up, and off. {on newer models there are more screws under the map light}

Below: Flip the windshield finisher up-side-down, and lay it on the windshield frame to get it out of the way. Make sure that the wires to the Rear View Mirror are left below.

Below: Note that these electrical connectors use a Peg & Hole to lock the two parts together. With a small screwdriver - push the Peg down a bit in the hole, then slide the head of the screwdriver gently between the two halves of the connector, to lift the edge of the Hole over the Peg - and pull them apart.

Below: These wire fasteners are easy to remove - just put the flat blade of a screwdriver on one side - and push gently to compress them - while pulling down. They will pop right out of the hole.

Below: Put a 5mm Allen Wrench, or any rod that size into the hole in the rear of mirror mount cover. In the picture below you can see that there is a small screw head in there. Push the rod through the hole - and brace it against the screw head on a bit of an angle. With both hands, rotate the base of the morror 90 degrees either way. They are firm but they will turn. Then pull the mirror down off the mount in the car.

Below: to reinstall the new mirror - push it up firmly against the mount, and make sure that it is flush all around - and rotate it back 90 Degrees in the opposite direction that you removed it. I brace the rod on the other side of that screw head - to turn the mirror the other way.

Below: Note: -There are brass clips on each end of the Top Windshield Finisher that you took off to begin with. That Top Windshield Finisher, installes over the outside of the "A" Pillar Finisher. When you re-install that top finisher panel - make sure these clips seat properly inside the "A" Pillar Finisher.

Below: Oops... The adhesive on mine had drided out - and they both fell off!

Below: I left the original adhesive in place on the clips - then re-coated them with a new layer of Epoxy. Then stuck them back on the finisher panel. They sit in a little indentation on that finisher panel - see picture above.

Slide the finisher back in place - and reinstall the sun visors. Just make sure you don't have any wires hanging out, or cought in the way. DONE.
